Bespea is for the two parties on a bespoke project: the client commissioning the work, and the studio or specialist trade delivering it. They need the same milestone written down, for different reasons. The client needs a basis to accept or challenge. The studio needs a basis to show what was submitted and what was decided.
Honest scope: Bespea is a governance and evidence platform operated by Bespoke Champions League Ltd (Company No. 16778449), registered in England and Wales. It does not hold client funds and is not itself a regulated payment or escrow provider. These pages describe the model. They are not a claim that every capability is live on every project, and they are not legal advice.

The controlled pilot is free, on a real project, with limited places. It is for UK bespoke joinery, fit-out or specialist trades, with a live or upcoming project between £25,000 and £2,000,000, where both parties will put acceptance in writing. Onboarding is done with you, by phone or a site visit in London. There is no commitment beyond the pilot period, and the project record can be exported if you leave.

A client uses the record to see evidence before accepting a milestone, and to leave a trail if they reject or hold it. Acceptance is a review of photos, documents and sign-offs against written criteria, not a verbal confirmation.
Payment readiness follows that acceptance. No accepted milestone means no payment-readiness certificate. You still pay directly, against the verified record. Bespea does not hold the money while you decide.
If a milestone is disputed, the record available for review is what was submitted, who reviewed it, and what the governing criteria required. Start with the client page if that is your role.
A studio or specialist trade uses the same record to submit milestone evidence through a governed workflow, and to keep scope changes in writing. A change request records the impact before extra work is treated as agreed, which is how margin arguments get a paper trail.
When a client rejects a milestone, the acceptance criteria and the evidence submitted against them are on the record, instead of a disputed memory of what 'finished' meant. When evidence is accepted, the payment decision has that written basis. During the pilot, the payment itself still moves between the parties' accounts.
The delivery history (accepted milestones, decisions and scope changes) is what a later client, advisor or reviewer can inspect. Start with the studio page if that is your role.
A one-sided folder does not answer "that's not what we agreed". The pilot asks that both parties put acceptance in writing. Clients use the record to decide. Studios use it to show what was submitted and what was decided.
