Bespea defined term
Governed escrow
Governed escrow is Bespea's model for connecting protected project funds to explicit milestones, acceptance criteria, evidence, and a documented challenge window.
Honest scope: Bespea is not itself a regulated payment or escrow provider and does not hold client funds. Governed escrow describes the project governance standard around third-party protection, not a claim that Bespea directly operates escrow accounts.
How it works
Step 1
A bespoke construction, fit-out, or joinery project is broken into milestones before work starts.
Step 2
Each milestone has acceptance criteria, required evidence, and a response period agreed in writing.
Step 3
When evidence is submitted, the other party can accept it or raise a specific documented challenge inside the challenge window.
Step 4
The release basis is recorded as evidence-first governance, whether funds sit with a separate authorised provider or another agreed commercial arrangement.
Why it matters in bespoke fit-out and joinery
Clients need confidence that money is connected to delivery, not vague progress claims.
Studios need a fair route to payment when agreed evidence has been supplied.
Legal and project reviewers need a clear record of what was agreed, submitted, accepted, challenged, or left uncontested.

FAQ
Does Bespea hold escrow funds?
No. Bespea is not itself a regulated payment or escrow provider. Governed escrow is the evidence and governance model around a protected payment arrangement.
What makes escrow governed?
The release basis is tied to agreed milestones, acceptance criteria, submitted evidence, and a documented challenge window rather than informal memory or one-sided assertions.
Is governed escrow live for every Bespea project?
No. Bespea describes governed escrow as the standard for protected projects. Any live payment protection depends on the specific project setup and third-party provider arrangements.
